Abrasion Resistant Overcoating

Dura-Bond is a leading applicator of Powercrete® polymer epoxy overcoating. This tough plural component epoxy concrete is sprayed hot over freshly applied FBE in a thickness of 20 to 125 mils. It is recommended for use on pipe that is to be pulled under a river, road or wetland area through a directional bore. Powercrete forms a protective shell that assures the fusion bond coating remains intact so it can provide years of service. Dura-Bond can also supply Powercrete J and Powercrete R60 to meet our customer’s needs for specialty ARO girth weld coatings.

Dura-Bond Coating facilities also offer dual layer FBE coatings such as 3M 6352, DuPont Nap-Rock and Valspar Pipeclad 2040. Our plants utilize a unique dual booth powder application to keep both layers separated for maximum performance.

Internal Linings

Our coating plants can apply most manufacturer’s internal linings to add corrosion protection and increase flow efficiency to the inside of steel line pipe. Dura-Bond maintains the facilities and technical expertise to provide high performance specialty linings that meet MIL-C-4556E military specifications for use on pipelines that transfer jet fuel.

Dura-Bond Coating can also apply NSF epoxy linings to the inside diameter of pipelines that are required for sanitary applications.

Powercrete

Powercrete® epoxies demonstratedd strength and integrity as revolutionary liquid coatings for corrosion prevention in the pipeline industry. Powercrete® provides superior adhesion and abrasion resistance to protect valuable assets. Powercrete® is impervious to soil stress and is compatible with FBE and CTE line coatings.
